My Film (Cast, audience and budget)

Credits -

Director - Ridley Scott because he is an english director and so he would be appeal to an english audience. He has also done many films like Robin Hood and Gladiator, so i thought he would be the best director for the job since he has directed many good 'Action' films.

Producer - Michael G. Wilson because he is an american producer and so he would appeal to the american audience. He has helped mostly with the James Bond franchise, helping to produce but write the Quantum of Solace film. Due to his experience and good work, i thought he would be ideal too for the film.

Writer - Jack Parker (me)

Editor - Matt Chesse because he is an american editor who would appeal to an american audience to some extent. He has too helped make the Quantum of Solace film and so he would have a good relationship with Michael to help produce a good film on set.

Cinematographer - Oliver Wood because he is english but he has also helped to make the Bourne films and the Fantastic Four so he would be good when it comes to action films.

Music - Jack Parker (me)

Starring -

Bill Nighy because he is an excellent english actor who played a part in many good films like Stormbreaker, Hot Fuzz, Valkyrie etc. These are films that contain a lot of action and he has always seemed to add much excitement to these films due to his intelligence but comedy approach within his style of acting. He also appeals to an older generation, so the target audience is far stretched.

Ryan Gosling because he is an excellent canadian actor who would appeal to the north american audience. Also, he has too played many great roles that contain a lot of action sequences. A secondary audience to the film is the teenage female group and so they would be very interested to watch it because he is an icon to many young females due to being 'good lucking'.

Carey Mulligan because she is an english actor who has only become a star quite recently. She has worked very well with Ryan in a film called 'Drive' and so i believe they have good chemistry and the audience think of this too. Also it proves that the film is targeting an anglo-american audience due to main actors being british and american.

Steven Berkoff because he was brought up in the east end of London but also he has played the villain in many well known films such as the Tourist, Octopussy (James Bond) and many more. Steven also will attract a more older generation due to his age and acting career. I believe he is an ideal main villain for this film.

Laim Neeson because he is an irish actor that will too appeal to an english audience. He is a great father figure when it comes to films and so he would be good in a sense for this role in the film. Laim has done many great films that prove he is a good actor when it comes to being a father such as Love Actually. Laim also has a good connection with Ridley Scott because he starred in Kingdom of Heaven which Ridley Scott directed and produced.

Target Audience - 15-40 this is due to the fact that the film contains actors that both appeal to a younger but older generation. Both Berkoff, Neeson and Nighy would attract a more older generation. However, Gosling and Mullingan would appeal to a younger generation. Some say that action films are targeted within an age range of 15-21, however, due to the experienced cast on/off screen this allows the film to be targeted to the 15-40 age boundary.
Also the film shows cast on/off screen from England and America. This is to appeal to an english audience as well as american. From this we are able to generate higher box office figures and in some cases, we may find most of the income generated could be from the US due to it being such a high population with a demand for action movies.

Budget - £25/30 million this is because of a good bunch of cast involved. However, some may think you would need a higher budget. But, it is lower than expected of due to the actors like Nighy and Neeson play only in one scene and will only require a days work. They are just a marketing tool used for the film, to get an even wider audience because of their prestige names. However, they will still produce some good work for the film and I believe it will be a success overall.
